The Journals of Demetrius of Helos

This website contains digitized versions of the journals discovered to have been written by an ancient Greek man by the name of Demetrius, from Helos, Greece.The journals recount Demetrius' experience in travelling to Memphis in Egypt with a local family for several months in the early 1400s BCE. Read along and experience with him his arrival in Memphis, a tour of the Egyptian homestead and workplace, a brief temple visit, and finally a funeral.
